- Facebook needs to evolve - otherwise they will be left behind when a newer, shinier social network service comes up. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't - but it's pretty much a guarantee that if they don't try to stay ahead of the game they're going to become obsolete (hello, Friendster).
- Ask yourself - do you actually not like the applications? Or do you just not like change? If you never knew any different, I'd hazard to say these modifications might not be an issue...
- Many of the people who are complaining about the changes are the same ones that will complain that Facebook is old and uninspired if it doesn't change anything...
- I have to be honest, I don't like the ticker in the sidebar. It's pretty annoying.
- In the end, though, keep this in mind. Nobody has a gun to your head, nor is it a law that you be on Facebook. You don't like the changes? Then do something about it - stop using the service. If you're constantly complaining but all the while still taking part, then frankly - you're just annoying.
